Thermon is a world-leading manufacturer, offering unbeaten quality electrical trace heating cables and components for use in commercial, industrial and domestic applications. HTSX is Thermon’s high-end self-regulating cable which is designed specifically for process temperature maintenance and freeze protection of pipes and is suitable for use in ordinary and hazardous environments. Thermon HTSX cable can be used in extreme heat, including the high temperatures associated with steam purging. 

The heat output of HTSX cable varies in response to fluctuations in the ambient temperature or heat loss through thermal insulation and the full length of a heat-traced pipe. Thermon HTSX cable offers reliable, medium to high process temperature maintenance. They are available in five variations:

  • HTSX 3-2-OJ 
  • HTSX 6-2-OJ
  • HTSX 9-2-OJ   
  • HTSX 15-2-OJ
  • HTSX 20-2-OJ

Thermon HTSX cables have a complex multi-layer construction and offer industry-leading build quality. The core consists of nickel-plated copper bus wires (16 AWG) embedded within a semi-conductive heating matrix, followed by fluoropolymer dielectric insulation. This is surrounded by a plated copper braid, and a fluoropolymer over-jacket which offers protection from exposure to organic chemicals and corrosives.
